About me sections give me anxiety, so here are some random facts and a lie…
I’m a contributing editor at British Vogue where I write about fashion, beauty and lifestyle (and sometimes interview hot boys). I’ve also worked at System Magazine, Dazed and Confused and i-D.
In a plot twist I didn’t see coming, I’ve become something of a geriatric model of late. This is me walking the runway for Chloe, thinking about what would happen if I tripped.
I have an obsession with vintage clothing. In fact, nothing makes me happier than a barely there John Galliano slip or some 1930s lace. Here I am wearing my favourite dress by John on the cover of Luncheon Magazine, shot by Paolo Roversi and curated by the maestro JG himself. If you want to see more of me selling my wares / wears you can follow me on TikTok.
In 2024, I wrote a book about gothic style, which was basically a love letter to women who pertain to the macabre. Think: Morticia Addams, Luisa Casati, Siouxsie Sioux, Theda Bara, Vampira, Elvira, and the OG poster girl for teen angst, Enid from Ghostworld.
Things I love: my husband’s Sunday roasts, sleeping in a bunk with my kids, their eggy breath, prawn cocktail crisps, crying on planes, extreme wellness, leopard print, mermaids, Venetian grotto furniture, and playing dress up at Halloween.
Things I don’t love: when my favourite fragrances get discontinued, chocolate and orange, any kind of mousse, other people’s kids, loose tea leaves, pee on the seat, parsnips and being called Trish.
What to expect from me
I never had a blog, but I used to keep a diary, so consider this proposition as basically somewhere in between.
